Central & Western N. Carolina chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation/Queens Cup Steeplechase
My name is Lisa Dickinson and I am a Wish Granter for the Central & Western N. Carolina chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation. We grant the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
I am appealing to our church community as we face financial difficulties in this embattled economy. Our wishes cost an average of $6,000.00. We granted over 200 wishes in the past year. There are several opportunities where we could use your assistance. This is one of the opportunities:
On April 25th, 2009 the Annual Queens Cup Steeplechase will be happening in Mineral Springs, NC. The funds from this event will be going to our chapter. You can either buy tickets at this link: http://www.queenscup.org/ or you can help by buying raffle tickets. The prizes include a trip to Hawaii first class, first class tickets to anywhere in the continental U.S., business class tickets to Canada/Bahamas/Caribbean, a 2010 Queens Cup package for you and ten friends, a gold and tourmaline necklace, and a four pack of tickets for the entire weekend of the Coca Cola 600.
