A biodiesel-fueled RV loaded with three of the most outspoken emergent church leaders and authors will crisscross the country this summer in "The Church Basement Roadshow: A Rollin' Gospel Revival." The tour featuring Tony Jones, Doug Pagitt, and Mark Scandrette will hit 36 cities across the U.S., with a message that combines old time revival flair with a 21st century gospel. They'll preach, sing, and sell healing balm in church basements from San Diego to New York.
The "Church Basement Roadshow" rolls into the Queen City on Tuesday, July 29, for ONE NIGHT ONLY!
This 90-minute high energy, meaningful, and light-hearted show is set in the tradition of the late 19th and early 20th century revivalists—issuing a call to join the greatest people movement of all time: to a life lived well with God in the Way of Jesus. Drawing on material from their most recent books, our three revivalists will invite you into a serious encounter with the exciting possibilities of lived Christian faith in our day.
ROLLIN' ... An invitation to join the hope-filled, opened armed, alive and well journey of faith in our day.
GOSPEL ... God's reconciliation of all things through the example, sacrifice and message of Jesus.
REVIVAL ... imagining new possibilities, collaborating with the creator's good dreams, and living the risk-taking adventure that is making a life in the way of Jesus.

Opportunity to Serve Huntersville
June 18, 2008 by khastings
Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The Town of Huntersville and Huntersville Parks and Recreation is hosting a neighborhood cleanup day in the Halbrook/Waymer area of Huntersville. They are supplying large construction site dumpsters for the residents to put trash, debris and large items into. Workers are needed to help senior citizens load up items they cannot get down to the dumpster site. It may involve helping the seniors bag up some debris as well. They have asked us to contact the faith community of Lake Norman and see if there might be some that could help, perhaps a bible study class, teen group or outreach ministry.
The project happens Saturday, June 28 in the Halbrook/Waymer area which is near Old Statesville Road in between Mt.Holly-Huntersville Rd and Hambright Rd. It will be from 8:30am to noon (or until the dumpsters are full, whichever comes first) at the Waymer Center. We need workers and especially we need pickup trucks and trailers to haul things. Gloves and trash bags should be brought. There are some project/home miantenance work available too if some would like to do yard work, pressure wash, paint, etc. Let us know if you are interested in helping that way too please. Meet at the Waymer Center and Park @ 8:30.
We are the hands of Jesus and let’s love on the Lake Norman area with His love. Circumstances have caused this to be short notice, but please consider helping. Feel free to call me directly with any ideas or questions.
Blessings,
Jeffrey Watson
